Feathered Friends

Bird songs abundant,
Breeze nature has lent.
Brightness dimming,
And rain beginning.
Mountains appearing through the foggy mist,
It is time to forget the list
of menial chores to do,
and observe life that has hit me like a fist,
reminding me to slow down, and not frown.
But instead, rejoice life, and wear
the moments like a crown.
